It looks like a shop-bought one but we picked it from the garden. Sweet as. Home-grown pineapple is a real treat.
We’re getting pineapples regularly now just by planting the cut off tops of pineapples.
Also harvesting at the moment: basil cherry tomatoes silver beet cucumbers Chinese veges green chillis turmeric spring onions Italian herbs Ceylonese spinach arrowroot. The eggplants and sweetcorn are also ready to harvest.
The turmeric is growing very lushly and so I’m using the chopped up roots fairly copiously in cooking.
The pumpkins are growing great guns. Hope they develop some nice pumpkins for pumpkin soup and pumpkin cake down the track.
