Sound and emotion

Find somewhere private where you won’t disturb people if you make quite a bit of noise. (If this is very difficult one option is to make noise into a pillow.)

Breathe out and with the out breath make a noise.
Breathe in.
Continue to breathe in and out making a noise on the out breath.
Explore what the noise wants to be. Louder. Quieter. Higher. Lower. Deeper? A groaning? A growling? A hum?

A corollary of this is to understand the relationship between noise and pain. With the right noise pain ceases to feel painful.
