Churches and chaplains

Many locals are regular church-goers.  Home meetings are common. People meet to sing songs of praise and worship celebrate Eucharist to pray together to share meals to form close loving ‘family’ groups where they can help and receive help from each other to work in the community to help where there is need and to make a contribution to teach children (schools) and adults visiting sick people to share resources to have fun together to provide groups of people who meet regularly and know and trust each other to give hugs to share social activities such as women’s and mother’s groups men’s camping outings parties and BBQs Christmas and Easter celebrations to hold fetes and craft fairs to help people who are sick or have lost a loved one or who are in trouble financially.

Church meetings are held in homes in The Grove (home fellowships home groups prayer groups small groups women’s groups Bible study groups). Contact the church to find out more details of where their groups meet in The Grove.

    St William the patron saint of the parish was the son of Italian noble parents born in 1085 and he died on 25 June 1142. He lived the life of a hermit. He founded monasteries in the area of Naples. People were attracted by the sanctity of his life the many miracles and his prayerfulness. They flocked to him to put themselves under his guidance seeking his wisdom and counsel. St William Feast Day 25th June.
