The succession of recent disasters has highlighted the fraqmented nature of geospatial data. Voices are now calling for a transformation in the federal approach to geospatial data with a concerted drive to have it all collected standardised duplicated in mission-cirtical safe databases and made instantly available when required.
[i]We support this need. It has proven very difficult to access geospatial mapping data for the upper Kedron Brook valley. Brisbane City Council has some but does not cover the Moreton Bay Regional Shire side of the Brook
