BCC has now approved the proposal for a new Ferny Grove Tavern at the corner of Arbor St and Samford Rd. The developers are the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Gruop. It is expected to be open by July 2012.
It is a success for ‘Save the Ferny Grove Tavern’ campaigner Jamie Wall who lobbied very hard and got support on Facebook from about 1000 supporters.
Two submissions were lodged by nearby residents opposing the development – pretty understandable.
The new tavern will have a sports bar bisro and gaming.
