Planning for Transition The Grove to have a marquee at Arana AusFest on 9th October is well underway.
You are all invited to come along for a while and take part. AusFest has a ‘young people’s’ focus so our younger members are especially important to have along on this day.
We now have a good marquee and tables.
Banner preparation is well underway.
We have copies of some great ‘catchment’ posters.
John is organising a copy of a large (2m wide) aerial photo of the Kedron Brook Catchment from Brisbane City Council.
We can set up a screen with batteries and solar panels to run Transition The Grove’s website there.
Need things like plants (food-bearing) to decorate the stall.
Still to organise: Transition Handbooks to sell brochures.. We’ll try to get a couple of big thermos’s for coffee…
Also invitations going out to Brisbane Transition Hub and our neighbouring Transition Towns to come along.
This is our first ‘outing’ in public as Transition The Grove at a big showcase local event and now we have the gear organised it can happen at other local fetes and markets and festivals in future.
