In the case of Queensland Health the salaries debacle was part of what was paid for.

Peter Borrows – CEO of SEQ Water – $494732. He is the CEO who oversaw the decision not to release water from Wivenhoe Dam when the Bureau of Meteorology told him the rain forecasts with the result that Brisbane flooded. He was also in charge of planning during the long leadup period that saw Brisbane unprepared when severe drought hit and nearly left us without any water.

The average executive was paid $464000 which is a big multiple on the average wage/income/pension received in families in our upper Kedron Brook valley community.

These salaries are in the order of 10 times average incomes of most people in The Grove.
