I am really interested in the role of weeds. I don’t pull them all out of the vege patch but keep some around the edges as a green border. I see it as important in keeping the soil together- I don’t like to have too much exposed topsoil. When I do pull out weeds I usually compost them unless they are Patterson’s curse/ farmer’s friends in which case I bag and bin them. Does anyone else use their weeds? Am I reducing my vege yield by doing it?
