Came across these in an old file. It is a summary of bits and pieces from all sorts of health books. Do not do these unless you are able to decide for yourself they are ok for you. We don’t know your health and what you can manage to do properly and can’t make suggestions for you.

Good Behaviour – Heart Health

Cardiovascular disease (heart stroke and vascular disease) are our biggest killers accounting for around 40% of all deaths. Our heart is also important as our motor for life. Looking after our heart is essential to having good circulation and the energy to be vital and alive. The heart is vulnerable to parasites and blocked arteries and poor circulation results in feet problems and sluggishness.

Look after my heart by:

· Take 50mg of Vitamin B6 a day in a balanced multi-B
· Keeping hydrated
o Drinking lots of water each day
o Keeping caffeine drinks such as coffee and colas to a minimum and only drinking them in combination with an additional glass of water
o Eating foods such as fruit and vegetables that contain a lot of water and rehydrating dried foods such as grains fully
o Breathing through nose day and night (masking tape across the mouth at night can help stop mouth-breathing or snoring)
o Including sufficient salt in our diet to replace salts lost through perspiration
o Be aware of creases on ear-lobes: they can be an early sign of dehydration
o Drink extra water in association with physical exercise or work air-conditioning or being in the sun
o Seek shade from hot sun

· Exercise regularly and aerobically within my ability level. People who are inactive are almost twice as likely to die from coronary heart disease. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity such as cycling swimming or brisk walking on most if not all days of the week. The more the better.
