Q. What can we as a community do to get a Treasure Market at Bunya Tip or Ferny Grove Transfer Station?
There are Treasure Markets operating out of two other Moreton Bay Regional Council tips and they are hugely popular.
At present useable items from Bunya Tip are being trucked away from our region to sell at Treasure Markets in other regions meaning that our region is losing the benefit of its own resources for recycling and reuse.
With Ferny Grove Transfer Station the material dumped there is crushed and trucked a long distance to Rochdale south of the river!
