Our local manager Andrew did approach the Coles hierarchy with this proposal and unfortunately they didn’t come through.

We also approached the North West Community Health Centre through the North West Health Community Consultative Committee. There was considerable interst in the machines and some excellent first-hand reports of them. The CCC did make a recommendation to the District to trial one of these machines here. The request was turned down. So much for that.

However one of our active local doctors Dr Trish Baker is looking into the research evidence for the effectiveness of these machines (which are claimed and experienced as being good for balance bone strength muscle strength and circulation) and she is looking into getting one for the Keperra Family Practice.

Asking around I’ve also now found that Ferny Hills Physiotheraphy in Patricks Rd has one in its practice. Will find out more information about it.
