||||AFL football – Ferny Grove Falcons::

Ferny Grove & Districts Junior Australian Football Club – The Ferny Grove Falcons

    Go The Mighty Falcons

They’d be there within the hour
    Forces mustering on the ground
    The boys from Ferny Grove
    Would rule the day!

There was movement on the sports field
For the word had passed around
That the boys from Ferny Grove
    Were on their way!

    They were strong and ever-ready
For any team that played their game
    They were flighty mighty “Falcons”
All who apposed them feared their name.

The umpire held up the ball
And threw it high above the fray
The timer sounded and each term pounced
As the game began to play

The scoreboard showed the rising score
And cheers echoed across the field
    As the home-team struggled on
But their fate was surely sealed.

    The mighty “Falcons” surged ahead
And flew to goal yet again
    These flighty mighty “Falcons”
Were there to win and that was plain

    They flew across the field
    Ruffled feathers in their wake
    Invincible birds of prey
Their legend was not at stake

At last the game was done
And each team had made it fun
    The “Falcons” showed once more
    Why they are number one!

    “Go!! The mighty Falcons”
