I just got back from the Tramway Museum. Most of today continuing with painting the steel frames of picnic tables. Last week a group of us ripped off the old hardwood seats and table tops and painted essential parts with rust-kill primer. Today I started painting the topcoat (a bit of the old Mission Brown). I got three of the five tables done and will finish the other two next week. Ridley Road Men’s Shed have offered to manufacture paint and fit new timber seats and table-tops. They should be ready in a couple of weeks so the painting needs to be finished in time.

While I was painting others were doing various restoration and maintenance tasks either individually or in groups.

Equipping the Men’s Shed operation with woodworking tools andn machines is progressing.

Morning tea and lunch breaks are friendly and interesting with wide ranging discussion on many topics.

Overall a most enjoyable day.
