The Rotary Club of Mitchelton (meets at Arana Leagues Club) is running a Bowelscan Project in March to promote awareness of bowel cancer which kills 5000 people each year in Australia. Bowel cancer affects about one in 20 Australians. Early detection is vital. You can purchase a test kit for $8 from pharmacies in Ferny Grove until March 31. You collect a specimen in your own home and return the kit to the pharmacy for analysis. Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology will test the kits for free.
