A recently released Queensland Police crime report shows skyrocketing rates of “good order” offences and property damage.

Property damage including graffiti jumped by 66% in a year at SE QLD train stations. Offences such as indecent and disorderly behaviour were up 23%.

At Keperra there were 16 reports of property damage up from 3 but down from the peak of 95 in 2008 before the murals were installed at the station.

QLD Rail revealed that in 2010 at Keperra station there were 3 assaults.

Keperra is earmarked for staff reduction!

The highest number of good order offences in the northwest was at Ferny Grove station doubling to 36 the 11th worst in SE QLD. Good order offences include disorderly behaviour indecent behaviour armed with intent insulting offensive language and possession of graffiti instruments.
