Great evening last night at Grovely TAFE in their Organic Gardening course being run by Adrian. A big class of us are all happily taking cuttings and potting them up and admiring our ‘babies’ as they grow.

One tip I found useful: Use honey as rooting powder. Just a teaspoon in a saucer is enough then touch the end of each cutting in the honey before putting it in the potting mix.

Of course the true officianados (is that how you spell it?) will have their own bees producing their own honey! I tried that once and the bees’ flight path was right over the neighbour’s garden and they got aggressive when he mowed his lawn. Not good for neighbourly relations at all!
