This was the ONLY Active Parks activity scheduled by BCC “in The Grove” – remember there are over 15000 people living in the BCC side of The Grove.

The ride actually started close to one edge of The Grove and then rode out (downstream) of The Grove. The point is that the bikepath system that is so extensive around Brisbane stops dead when it gets to The Grove.

This area is consistently being overlooked for cycle paths and walkways up Kedron Brook. Compare for example the excellent and well-maintained track by Downfall Creek in Moreton Bay Regional Council.

Equally this area is consistently being overlooked for BCC-organized recreational activities. Once again Moreton Bay Regional Council provides a stark contrast with the amount of activities they provide locally in The Grove.
