Just talking to local Phil at the Ferny Grove Markets. He is looking so well. Phil was diagnosed with bowel cancer quite a few years ago now and most of the people who were receiving treatment with him have passed on.
Phil puts his glowing good health down to Ceylon spinach also known as Malabar spinach. This is a green vine.
Phil eats the leaves raw and he eats as much as he can every day with other green salad from his One Acre Plot in Ferny Grove.
For example he described having a cheese sandwich with a thick pile of Ceylon spinach leaves on top of the cheese.
He tells a story about a nurse giving him a blood test and she said she’d never seen such rich blood.
Phil is certainly a testament to the effectiveness of his health nutrition approaches and the high quality organic food he grows.
