Event Description: Finance: Carbon Constrained Economy Practices A provocation about cost implications of addressing or not addressing sustainable development issues in a carbon constrained economy. This includes considering how for example carbon pricing will affect the building/construction and associated industries in the coming years depending on their preparation and capacity building for the transition. Facilitated by Alison McDonald Coordinator Sustainability Minors. Dr Tony Stapledon Director Stapledon & Co. will discuss: The business case for built environment sustainability and some thoughts on the implications of carbon pricing. Dr William Wild Senior Lecturer QUT School of Economics & Finance will discuss: Carbon from a financiers perspective. Michael Hann Senior Manager with Accenture will discuss: Designing new futures for metropolitan systems
