Dear {usertag:name}

Please welcome new member Eleanor Gregory to the Business & Finance Environment Building & Construction Governance Security Facilities History and Community Cultural Values Subgroups.

We did a bit more local park facilities surveying this week. A lovely time of year for a simple task – visiting the park and making a note of the facilities there and what condition they are in then putting it on the Facilities Forum. There are lots of little local parks to go and check out if you have a spare half hour.

Warm regards

Anne Tennock

Dear {usertag:name}

This e-newsletter is being sent to members of the Food & Gardening Subgroup.

Tomorrow is the big day for the Community Garden Information Day at Julatten Park

(off Strathmere Place Upper Kedron or walk across the park from Upper Kedron Rd

to the back of the park).

Time:  11am to 1pm. Saturday 23rd June

Come along and pour over the plans and put your name down for a garden bed! There will

be a limited number and so if you want one you will need to apply in time.

The garden design layout has been done by our landscape design person Sharon. She will

be there to talk with people.

Also the community gardens person from Brisbane City Council will be there.

We’ve got a great morning tea planned too. Community gardens are meant to be social

and fun.

This is an event of The Hills District Community Garden Association Inc (all locals from

The Grove are eligible to belong). Membership costs $10/annum. Membership forms will be

available there.

Then there is another community garden event the regular Picnic at Yooralla Street

Community Garden in The Gap the following Saturday. This gives a chance to see what

we can become a little way down the track!

Time: 10am Saturday 30th June.

They have the Kerbside Pickups ( a live vocal and instrumental group) playing to sing along

with.

Carolyn from the Yoooralla St Community Garden says: Please bring voices instruments and some food to share if you like.

Hope to see a good turn-up for both these community garden events.

Cheers
Anne
