Reading article by Adam Cresswell in today’s The Weekend Australian ‘Dream machine comes at a cost’ brought to mind one of the big changes I experienced after doing a Buteyko Breathing course years ago. First up they got me to put masking tape on my mouth at night!!! and by a sheer miracle I succeeded and stopped snoring heavily all night (so I’ve been told) and my ‘dreams of flying’ stopped too. I’m definitely not recommending anyone try the masking tape trick without the Buteyko Breathing training working well for them but I would certainly recommend Buteyko Breathing as an excellent method to learn for anything related to breathing conditions (sleep apnoea snoring asthma…). It worked for me. I used to end up in casualty wards nearly dead on a regular basis and could never leave the house without medication. Both totally a thing of the past.
