Yes except the egg story is not so nice. Queensland Medical Research did research on eggs and ovarian cancers (basically hormonal cancers) and as little as 2 eggs per week had as significant a risk link to ovarian cancer as smoking is to lung cancer.
It is because eggs (also milk products) are full of growth hormones (because they provide the nutrients for baby animals to grow) and growth hormones are linked to hormonal cancers.
So we aim not to overdo the eggs – keep to 2 per week. One chook for two people works out more than enough but a chook will get lonely – they like company. So two chooks means more chook food but eggs to share.
