The cheapest houses in the world are in slums… the next ones are in recently proven risk-flood-prone areas (that were lobbied hard by developers to secure despite obvious risks known to governments).
When we take a serious look at housing affordability it is evident that the greatest cost driver is increasing demand which equals increasing population in areas where quality of life (or perceived QOL) has been preserved.
