www.ecofriendlyfood.org.au. This website aims to facilitate the adoption of eco-friendly practices to reduce our carbon footprint associated with food. The website includes specific information for health professionals and schools as well as the general public.
In particular the Health Professionals section of the website aims to help you stay up-to-date with the issue of food sustainability. You can access downloadable resources such as Sustainable food guidelines a catering guide: Catering for the environment and Eco-friendly food challenges which are all designed to assist you in integrating eco-friendly food principles into your practice and your home life.
The website was developed by a partnership between Queensland Health (Nutrition Promotion Unit Metro South Health Service District) QUT and the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) with sponsorship from Queensland Media Group (QMG).
