The fig tree in the roundabout on Linkwood Drive and Dellwood Court in Ferny Hills is getting very large and starting to affect power lines but local residents David MacLaughlin and Bernard King want it looked after and pruned not demolished.
It is certainly a beautiful tree. In the book “Pattern Language” a tree to sit under in a central area is identified as a key value.
