Geoff Wilson MP Member for Ferny Grove has replied in the North-West News that claims that the Ferny Grove line has missed out are incorrect.
“The Queensland Government is investing $100 million in the track duplication station upgrade carpark and bus interchange expansion at Ferny Grove Station. This project and the $46 million Mitchelton to Keperra track duplication will see a dual track running the entire length of Ferny Grove line.”
The Transport Minister’s office has advised the Keperra to Ferny Grove rail upgrade will mean improved services less traffic congestion increased rail capacity and more suitable transport options.
A timetable review on the Ferny Grove line was conducted in 2008 and will be reviewed again next year.
