Why is Queensland so fat? Flying down to Melbourne is a 2-hour trip to a much thinner (on average) place. Coming back to Queensland (even the airport lounge for the flight to Queensland) is like coming to a meeting of the obese.
What is it about Queensland?
For one thing it is much warmer and more humid. Does that make us fatter? If so how?
Do we eat more fructose-rich fruits because they are so readily available here cheaply? But with modern food transport they are very available and cheap in all our main cities.
