[b]A local Community Garden[/b].
Out of discussions at our Clean Up Australia Day Site we learned of a proposed Community Garden site at Patricks Rd State Pre-School Ferny Hills.
We have talked to Brian Battersby about Transition The Grove’s interest in supporting a community garden locally and that we have the names of members who have expressed interest. Also about the work we are doing to provide a community events calendar to let the local community know what is on. Transition The Grove wants initiatives for the whole of the upper Kedron Brook valley community which means working with two different councillors and councils and asking for them to cooperate to provide something that works for the whole valleynot just one side of Kedron Brook to the exclusion of the other side.
The organising committee has already met. It would be great for Transition The Grove Food & Gardening Group members to consider how best to participate contribute or otherwise help with this project.
