Gaythorne RSL is now a major sponsor. They will put more funding into junior development programs. The Gaythorne RSL logo will be on their jerseys when for the Cyril Connell Cup and Mal Meninga Cup teams.
Eligibility to play in the Cyril Connell Cup and the Mal Meninga Cup is a step to being eligible to play for Queensland Cup level.
Panthers President is Tony Currie a former Broncos Bulldogs Queensland and Australia player.
There is now an affiliation with clubs in the north-west and the Easts Tigers. This gives access to the Queensland Cup but the long-term goal is for the Panthers to have a Queensland Cup team.
