Arana Hills SES volunteers have helped answer calls from all over from SE QLD to north QLD in the recent floods and Cyclone Yasi. They’ve helped search for missing people in the Lockyer Valley after the flash floods in Grantham helped clean up homes in Fernvale. They’ve attended to carrying out temporary repairs to damaged homes powerlines cutting and clearing trees. 21 volunteers from Arana Hills SES group flew to the aid of north QLD residents and to assist local SES workers there. Arana Hills local Sonia Cuff is one of those who has been heavily involved in pulling her weight to make a difference.
They were also involved in the search near Caboolture after a dead body was found in a barrel.
