How is it decided when a project is paid for by Brisbane City Council rather than the Queensland Government?
When it is a Brisbane City Council project only BCC ratepayers pay for it but often people from all the other South East Queensland councils use it.
It seems like ratepayers in the Brisbane City Council carry an unfair proportion of the cost for projects that benefit everyone. They should be Queensland Government projects and the cost shared by all who benefit.
Little local communities like our three local outer suburbs of Upper Kedron Ferny Grove and Keperra shouldn’t have to be bearing the burden of running a major capital city for the whole of South East Queensland.
