Doing a lot of heavy gripping hand work can lead to carpel tunnel numbness and painful fingers.
This exercise can help free them up again.
Lie on back with head supported comfortably.
Press fingers and palms together and spread fingers apart in a star. Aim to get the fingers fully in contact with their opposite if possible.
Now gradually move hands up past the face to rest against the top of the head (out of visual sight) with fingers and palms still pressed together.
Now one pair of fingers at a time rub the tip of the opposite finger and then move each pair to one side then the other then back and forward together. (The rest stay pressed together in the star arrangement.) When one pair has had an aware workout move on to the next pair until they are all done.
