This e-newsletter is being sent to the 48 members of the Environment Subgroup.
This weekend there is an exciting opportunity to be actively involved in a survey of the fish in Kedron Brook. This is part of the wildlife management programs and creek health that our Kedron Brook Catchment Group and Creek Ranger are continuously involved in.
Here is the email about it. If you are able to come along and take part email Jacinta Hamilton to get a copy of the Fish Snap Shot procedures and so that she can plan the numbers for the day.

Thank you for showing interest in joining in with our Fish Snap Shot program. This weekend we will be assessing 3 sites along Kedron Brook. The details are as follows:
Saturday 24th March – 8am – Meet at Arana Hills Leagues Club Car Park 247 Dawson Parade Keperra – UBD ref Map 118 E20
Saturday 24th March – (after Dawsons Parade) – meet at Keperra Golf Club 44 Duggan Street Keperra – UBD ref Map 138 B5
Sunday 25th March – 8am – Meet at Grinstead Park Shand Street Alderley – UBD ref Map 139 D8
Attached is a copy of the Fish Snap Shot procedures for your information so you are aware of what is involved on the day. We will be using a Horiba for water quality testing which is in the process of being calibrated this week for more accurate results.
All equipment will be there on the days so just make sure you wear what’s appropriate for the sun:
hat sunscreen collared top enclosed shoes.
If you are happy to get wet on the day as we do wade through water that can be waist deep wear clothes that you are happy to get wet in. We do have wet shoes for all sizes however if you do have shoes that you prefer to wear please make sure that they are enclosed.
Also:
insect repellant
a bottle of water
something to snack on
Otherwise everything else will be available to you on the day.
