Andrew McMicking from Keperra set out nearly a decade ago to help raise $1000000 for his community by hosting trivia nights for charities schools and sporting clubs.
His started with the Gaythorne RSL in 1997 to raise money for Epilepsy Queensland.
He has since raised over $866000 with his most recent fund-raising at Arana Leagues Club for the Picabeen Community Association to raise funds for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.
It’s a passion for him. He thinks everyone in their everyday life does something to help their community. What he does happens to be trivia. He gives up many of his weekend nights to host trivia nights for free.
