This fit local family (Katie and Paula are the other two members who participate in orienteering with the family) compete and train at the Enoggeroos Orienteering Club. Maybe they could organise some orienteering activities in The Grove for residents here. We have great country for it though some of us might like to start on relatively flat terrain. Hubbie tried once out off Samford Rd and it was very rugged and steep.

Orienteering teaches a variety of skills and fitness is a vital component.

I used to do it in another state and it was suitable for the whole family as different ability levels did not compete against each other. It provided a wonderful way of going through untracked forest with a compass and a map with check-points and people at the end watching out to make sure you return (or send out a search party!)
