Our Servas visitor Denny Reid has been showing us his extraordinary ideas about how to fly like a bird. He comes with a lifetime of experience with flying design but he has a key insight that make flying as different as soaring with an eagle or using a box kite.
He’s a true Leonardo da Vinci or Thomas Alva Edison.
We are going out this morning to the model shop in Nepean Avenue Arana Hills to buy a sheet of balsa to make a model airplane that demonstrates the key insight. It should be flying by lunchtime.
He wants a world-wide competition using the idea to develop personal fold-up wings for any of us to fly.
He’s built a small airplane that folds up to the size of a Charade and also drives is a boat a ski and flies 6 people. And is just so snazzy.
