Big efficiency savings (which meant less rate increases)were achieved for the region (no figures for The Grove specifically).

Average valuation increase for Division 10 (includes The Grove) was 50.08% varying between 112% increase and 20% decrease.

Moreton Bay Regional Council average residential owner-occupied total general rates dropped 3.4% compared to an average rise for Brisbane City Council of 5.04%.

Water rates are rising and will continue to rise. Initially the rise will be subsidised so ratepayers don’t pay the full rise in 2010/11 (50% subsidy) or 2011/12 (25% subsidy). From 1 July 2010 all water & sewerage charges taken over by Unitywater.
