QLD is getting expert at the logistics of feeding people after disasters. The Storm in November 2008 and Cyclone Larry then the floods in 2011 gave us a lot of training.

Last year with the floods 300000 people were being fed by Foodbank each week!!! More than 1000 tonnes of food was donated in 3 weeks. 2000 semi-trailer loads of food were donated in the month after the floods!!

Foodbanks general manager is Ken McMillan.

In more normal times about 200 semi-trailer loads of food are delivered each month feeding about 70000 people a week.
