Remember these holidays

Help prevent school theft and damage

Police are urging residents who live near school grounds to report any suspicious behaviour in or on school grounds.

Schools become targets during the holidays with schools reporting wilful damage graffiti and unlawful entries during this period.

Whilst many children like to use sports ovals or facilities during the holidays they should not be on school property. It not only becomes unsafe when they are unsupervised it is also an offence to trespass.

There is nothing worse for teachers parents and students returning to school after their holiday to find their school damaged or property stolen.

Neighbouring residents are urged to contact their local police and report any such suspicious behaviour.

By taking a vested interest in nearby properties you are also reducing the risk of offenders targeting your property
