Grants for clubs and community projects will suffer heavily because of the financial drain from the Brisbane floods. This is another example of how we might not have been directly hit by the floods but indirectly some consequences come right home into our local community.

Park upgrades in Keperra will continue mainly because the amounts of money involved are small. Cr Andrew Wines said :”We didn’t have any headline projects. The main projects that went were the really big ones whereas the $40000 dog park upgrades and the $20000 for new equipment was kept. Although the dust hasn’t settled getting community grants will be a more difficult process than it used to be.”
