Biography

* John Hogg has represented Queensland in the Senate since 1996.
* He is the President of the Senate.
* He holds a Bachelor of Science and has taught in both primary and secondary schools.
* Before entering the Senate John was branch secretary and member of the national Executive of the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees’ Association.
* He has been an active member of the ALP since 1976.
* He is married to Sue and they have three children.
