From what I’ve heard there is considerable competition for grant money. Kirilpa (West End) put in an application and they went to a lot of trouble preparing it including a very well-done process of collecting letters of support from other groups. They were successful but we do know a lot aren’t.
We went to a BCC evening on how to apply for grants. It was fascinating. A large crowd. At the end they broke up into groups by the type of grant. They have very supportive helpful staff to help you work through the process and definitely encourage a lot of contact to be able to get it right.
