Some comments coming out of a big Federal health forum this week that we couldn’t agree more with:
Preventative health funding needs to be a much higher priority. We under-invest in prevention and are facing a chronic disease tsunami as a result. People should be outraged at the lack of spending on keeping people out of hospital
Focusing on what we can do locally to keep well is predominantly a preventative health approach. It sees hospitals as an extreme-case last resort.
