One of the best things I ever came across for health was a tape on hypnotic healing which was about forgiveness and health.

It linked unforgiveness directly to ill health (physical and mental).

The tape was designed to be listened to every day for 30 days.

It started with settling you into a very relaxed receptive state then asked you to imagine that your body is a glass vessel filled with clear fluid. It then asks you to let go into that fluid all the resentment hostility anger and grudges you are holding on to against people. The fluid becomes filthy and black. It then asks you to pull out a plug and let all that black fluid drain out of you.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to learn about forgiveness in my early life and I carried bitterness for a long time and it was enormously destructive. It was only when I started listening to the forgiveness and healing tape that I learned to let it all go and forgive. Within a week it made a dramatic difference in my life. It is certainly an important life skill to have to be skilled at forgiving.

That includes forgiving ourselves. Mostly it includes forgiving ourselves when we really start to understand forgiveness.
