The biggest implication I can see is that at some stage we will need to start weaning ourselves off very high-end medical interventions because they are at core so enormously resource-intensive and carbon-dependent.

This means taking far more responsibility for our own health and for methods of maintaining good health that use very few or readily available consumables.

The good news is that there are so many ways that we can look after our health without resorting to anything much beyond what we have readily available to us.

So supporting each other in collecting good information on how to look after our health and what to do if we have a health problem is a very powerful was to become more resilient. Our health wisdom becomes a whole community resource that makes us health literate.

In Cuba when the oil supply was turned off the whole country’s health improved dramatically. They ended up exporting doctors!
