The Prince Charles Hospital had a 14.7% rise in patient admissions at the final quarter of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009. There were 11910 emergency department attendances. Emergency department admissions were up 13%. Elective surgery admission at 1255 were up 11.2%. Staff numbers increased 13% in the 12 months over 2010 to 418.
