Caltex have introduced a 85% ethanol blend into Queensland it is the same as the High Octane Petrol you can purchase now.
but yes you need 1/3 more to get the same as normal petrol
However most cars can not use E85 unless fitted with a device from Brazil.

The best thing about ethanol is it is renewable and yes the rumor monger are starting that all out food growing areas will be turned into fuel production so we won’t have any food but the best ethanol producing plant is not wheat or corn but a scrubby bush that like growing in poor soil and arid areas. there are several other options to grain ethanol production.
Just do a Google search on Cellulosic ethanol.
Just think you can fuel your car warm your house and cook with the green stuff growing in your back yard/ garden.
