We get to vote for 3 types of elections locally – federal state and Brisbane City Council. We are required to vote in the first two but our vote for council is optional.

Yet it is our council vote that makes by far the biggest difference to the quality of resources locally in the suburbs of Ferny Grove Keperra and Upper Kedron. It is Brisbane City Council who we need to provide local facilities such as meeting rooms equipment in parks local transport support for local projects and groups and recreation.

These suburbs in the ward of Enoggera are at the far end of the ward well away from the ward office. We are very much out of sight out of mind.

We need people who really care about this area and who are local to this area to stand for election for council and be prepared to work to really make a difference for this area.

When there is an election it is very important to vote. The more people who vote from this area the more chance there is to say that we care about what council does (or does not do) in this area.
