The Pine Rivers U3A (located at Petrie) has some local activities in Arana Hills and Ferny Hills.
Typically these are computer or photography classes at Bunya House in Arana Hills or Strong People Stay Young at Ferny Districts Fishing Clubrooms or Living Sustainably in the Suburbs classes at the Arana Library. The Walking Group sometimes does walks in this area.
