Community Events Calendar listing criteria and guide

Listing criteria

Your event must meet the following criteria to be listed in the Community Events Calendar. The event must:

Be located within the Brisbane City Council area.
Have a specific start and finish date OR be a regular occurrence at set dates and times.
Be at a set location that visitors can attend; state wide events such as Red Nose Day are not accepted.
Be an activity that Brisbane residents and/or visitors can attend or participate in without necessarily having any affiliation with the organisers (e.g. attendees should not have to be members of a club).
Be open and relevant for all residents and/or visitors and not specific to business leaders or professionals.
Be free or have a reasonable cost associated with it.
Not simply be a venue or location. An event listing must be an activity within a venue or location e.g. South Bank is not an event but Christmas Movies at South Bank is an event.
Not be an advertisement for a business.
Not be illegal.
Not be a promotion of a competition or nominations for an upcoming event.

Events may be excluded from the Events Calendar at the sole discretion of Brisbane City Council.
